Chief Financial Officer
John C. Molina is the son of C. David Molina, who founded Molina Healthcare. John has been employed at Molina in various capacities since its inception. John currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of Molina Healthcare, Inc. As CFO, John oversees all financial and corporate development functions including accounting and finance, treasury, investor relations and marketing, human resources, and market expansion.
During John's tenure as CFO, the company has gone public and has more than doubled the number of Medicaid lives the company covers, as well as tripled revenues. The company footprint was expanded from operations in four states to sixteen states since the company’s IPO in July 2003.
In addition to serving as Molina’s CFO, John has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank. John is the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of the Aquarium of the Pacific and a member of the Board of Trustees for the California State University Foundation. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Long Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Board of Governors of California State University, Long Beach.
In the past, John has served on the Boards of the Downtown Long Beach Business Associates, the Long Beach Community Foundation, the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles and the Southeast Division of the American Cancer Society of California.
John earned a bachelor's degree in economics from California State University Long Beach, where he was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. John also earned a juris doctorate degree from the University of Southern California.
