Molina
Healthcare of New Mexico Medicaid HEDIS Results
|
| |
| Molina Healthcare of New Mexico’s HEDIS®
rates reflects the quality of care provided to our members.
We are very encouraged by the continued increase in
both the Well-Child Care and Adolescent Well-Care
Visit rates and continue to focus resources to continue
improvement. |
| |
| We also saw a continued increase in appropriate use
of medications for people with asthma. Although we see
improvement in these and many other areas, we continue
to enhance our interventions in these and other critical
areas of member care, including Prenatal/Postpartum
care. |
| |
| At Molina Healthcare of New Mexico, we realize opportunities
for improvement always exists. We remain committed to
working with providers and members to promote care towards
improving the health of our members. Among our current
interventions: |
 |
Car seat program for expectant mothers. As an
encouragement for members to obtain prenatal care
as early as possible, we provide an infant car
seat upon confirmation of attendance at a qualifying
maternity education class. |
 |
A “You Don’t Have to Let Your Baby
Cry” - Baby-Go-To-Sleep CD is included in
packets sent in our post-partum packets. |
 |
Immunization schedules and an immunization passport
in our post-partum packet. An additional immunization
reminder is mailed out to parents. |
 |
All identified diabetic and asthma members receive
age-specific educational materials. Our disease
management program and health improvement program
work closely with these members to identify their
medical needs and concerns and work to improve
their health. |
 |
Adolescents and children receive birthday cards
reminding and encouraging them to update their
immunizations and receive their well child visits. |
 |
