| 2005 HEDIS® and CAHPS® Quality
and Performance Results |
Molina Healthcare of Utah (MHU) has a Quality Improvement
Plan that we work on every year. Part of that plan is
to help members get preventative care. Each year we
do a research project called HEDIS to see if our members
are getting the preventative care they need.
Specific
HEDIS results
 |
| |
| Molina’s goal is to be better than 75% of other
Medicaid health plans in the nation. |
| |
| We met our goals in these areas for our Medicaid product: |
 |
Well Child Care for Children 0-15 Months Old |
 |
Proper medicine for members with asthma |
 |
Breast cancer screening |
 |
Care for members while they are pregnant |
 |
Care for mothers after they deliver |
 |
How often members receive care while they are pregnant
|
 |
Controlling high blood pressure |
 |
A1c testing for members with diabetes |
|
| |
| We had improved in these areas, but did not reach our
goal: |
 |
Childhood immunizations finished by age 2 |
 |
Well Child Care for children 3-6 years old |
 |
Chlamydia screening |
 |
Adolescent immunizations finished by age 14 |
|
| |
| Our scores decreased in the areas of diabetic care and
cervical cancer screening. This will be a major focus
for Molina of Utah in the months to come. |
| |
| Another part of the Quality Improvement Program is a
member satisfaction survey that was sent to many Molina
member’s homes. This survey is called CAHPS. The
survey asks about the care members received from Molina
Healthcare. Again, Molina’s goal is to be better
than 75% of other Medicaid health plans in the nation.
