Dale Christine Ahlskog, MBA
Dale Christine Ahlskog, President of Molina Healthcare of Washington, is responsible for direction and oversight of strategic initiatives and operations for the Washington health plan. Prior to this, Ms. Ahlskog was the Chief Financial Officer for Molina Healthcare of Washington. She was the CFO for the former QualMed Washington Health Plan, Inc. (now Molina Healthcare of Washington). Dale was also the former Controller and Director of Operations of Micro Innovations, Inc. in Seattle, Washington. She holds an MBA from the University of Washington (Seattle).

Laurel Lee, MSPH

Laurel A. Lee, MSPH, Chief Operating Officer, is responsible for managing all hands-on operational aspects of the company.  She has direct accountability for the Member Services, Provider Services, Administrative Services, Human Resources and Information Services Departments.  As a member of Washington's senior management team, she works to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and human/system resources in place to ensure success. Laurel joined Molina Healthcare in 1998 as a Manager of Provider Contracts and she served from 2000 to 2004 as Director of Provider Services & Contracts. 

 

Ms. Lee formerly served as Vice President of Contract Management for UniMed Management Company, an affiliate of the former UniHealth based in Burbank, California. Ms. Lee holds a Master of Science in Public Health from the University of California, Los Angeles.


Jennifer Freeman, CPA

Jennifer Lee Freeman, Chief Financial Officer for Molina Healthcare of Washington, manages the Finance Department which includes accounting, enrollment, billing, capitation operations, and claims cost recovery.  As a member of Molina Healthcare of Washington's senior management team, she works on long term strategic planning, financial performance review and operational issues.  Formerly, she was the Director of SEC Reporting and Audit for Molina Healthcare, Inc. in Long Beach, California.  Before taking her position with Molina Healthcare, Inc., she had originally joined the company as a consultant for the Sarbanes-Oxley 404 Implementation.  Also, Ms. Freeman was the former Controller for Cox Communications in Orange County, California.  She holds a BBA from The University of Texas at Austin and has been a CPA since 1992, licensed in Texas.


Ward B. Hurlburt, M.D., M.P.H., FACPE, FACS, CPE

Ward B. Hurlburt, M.D., M.P.H., FACPE, FACS, CPE, Chief Medical Officer, leads the Molina Healthcare of Washington Health Care Services staff that includes utilization management, case management, quality improvement, credentialing, pharmacy and special programs. Prior to joining Molina Healthcare, Dr. Hurlburt was Medical Director at PacifiCare Northwest and Divisional Medical Director for Group Health Cooperative of Puget Sound/Group Health Permanente. Dr. Hurlburt's previous experience also includes full spectrum medical management and consulting, staff model health care delivery, and a post as Assistant Surgeon General with the US Public Health Service.

 
Dr. Hurlburt has an M.D. from George Washington University and Masters of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Hurlburt is licensed in Washington and Alaska. He is a Certified Physician Executive with the American College of Physician Executives; a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, American Board of Medical Management, and the American Board of Preventive Medicine. Dr. Hurlburt is a Fellow of the American College of Physician Executives, American College of Surgeons, and the American College of Preventive Medicine.

Peggy Wanta, M.Ed.
Peggy Wanta, M.Ed.Peggy Wanta, Director of Contracts and Compliance, is responsible for management of the Healthy Options, Basic Health and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) contracts. Her role includes coordination of the contract renewal proposals and oversight of compliance, training and service issues. Ms. Wanta was a former employee benefits consultant with William Mercer, Inc. in Seattle, Washington. She holds a Master of Education/Early Childhood from the University of Washington (Seattle).
