Tips to help Prevent Health Care Fraud
Health care fraud rises each year. Molina is working with State and Federal Agencies to help put a stop to this.
One type of health care fraud is billing for services not provided. Or, using someone else’s identity (ID) to get benefits or receive payment is also health care fraud.
- Do not give your Medical/Molina card number to anyone. Only your doctor, clinic, hospital or other health care provider should know it.
- Do not let anyone borrow your Medical/Molina card.
- Never lend your Social Security card to anyone.
- Never sign a blank insurance claim form.
- Do not trust people who offer you "free" tests and services in exchange for your Medical/Molina card number.
- If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
If we work with each other, we can help stop fraud. If you think there has been fraud, you should report it right away. You do not have to fear revenge. Your report will be kept private. You do not have to give us your name if you do not want to.
