The power to pick a health plan that is right for you and your family is most important. Molina is a health plan. We participate in STAR, CHIP, CHIP Perinate and STAR+PLUS. We are committed to our Members' health.
- STAR is a program that provides health care at no cost for people on Medicaid.
- Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) is health insurance designed for families who earn too much money to qualify for Medicaid, yet cannot afford to buy private health insurance.
- CHIP Perinate Program provides prenatal care for the unborn children of low-income women who do not qualify for Medicaid. Once born, the child will receive CHIP benefits for the duration of the 12-month coverage period.
- STAR+PLUS is a Texas Medicaid managed care program designed to provide health care, acute and long-term services and support through a managed care system.
Such services are funded in part under contract with the State of Texas.
