Molina Healthcare of New Mexico encourages parents to make sure kids wear a helmet when they ride a bike, skateboard, scooter, and roller blades. And don't forget the helmet when they ride the horse too! A helmet will protect them if they crash or get thrown from the horse. The helmet protects a child's brain if they crash or fall.
A good way to get your child to wear a helmet is to teach them about safety. It's also a good idea for parents to wear helmets too. Take the time to teach and be a life saver!
