Suggested Timeline for Children

Birth to 10 years

These guidelines are suggestions for preventive care. You and your provider may decide to do some services more or less often. Molina Healthcare covers preventive care services.

Your child should see his/her PCP for a Well Child Exam at age: What to expect in addition to the exam:

1. Well Child Exam – Periodic and/or annual medical exam for children. It includes medical history, physical check-up, weight, height, head circumference, health education, and any clinician recommended tests or screenings, such as dental caries, vision and hearing.

2. Flu: Yearly for children 6 months – 18 years. 2 doses to children <9 years receiving the flu vaccine for the first time or who were vaccinated for the first time during the previous flu season with only 1 dose.
