Preventive Health Guidelines can be beneficial to the provider and his/her patients. All practice guidelines are based on scientific evidence, review of the medical literature, or appropriately established authority, as cited. All recommendations are based on published consensus guidelines and do not favor any particular treatment based solely on cost considerations.
These guidelines are meant to recommend a standard level of care and do not preclude the delivery of additional preventive services depending on the individual needs of the patient.
Monitoring the outcomes of care against national practice standards helps Molina Healthcare of New Mexico improve the health status of our membership.
Preventive services are regularly monitored via HEDIS data and medical record review. Providers are strongly encouraged to track the frequency with which these services are delivered.
