Molina Healthcare of Ohio Hosts Various Community Baby Showers for New and Expecting Moms

Molina Healthcare of Ohio regularly hosts numerous community baby showers throughout the state where its members reside. Recently in Cincinnati, Molina hosted a shower where expecting moms received needed resources, information and baby essentials to help them through their pregnancies, delivery and beyond.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Ohio recently ranked No. 8 in the nation for infant mortality. There were 983 infant deaths in Ohio in 2017 (7.18 deaths per 1000 live births). “At Molina Healthcare, we believe that helping reverse this rate can be achieved through education and maternal self-care,” said Joanne Zahora, manager of community engagement for Molina Healthcare of Ohio. “That’s why we focus on supporting expecting and new mothers who need it most.”
