Molina Healthcare Raises $17,000 to Donate to the Oso Community After Landslide

06/12/2014

After the tragic Oso, Wash. Mudslide in March, Molina Healthcare employees volunteered to pack and deliver dozens of boxes full of food and supplies that they had gathered together in support of the victims and first responders of the landslide.  In just two weeks, Molina also raised $17,000 to donate to the Cascade Valley Hospital Foundation to support rescue efforts and aid the Oso community. Contributions from hundreds of staff plus money matched by Molina Healthcare made this gift possible.

Cascade Valley Hospital Foundation grants for Oso landslide relief now total over $991,000. All funds raised will go to the victims of the landslide. Direct aid to families includes cash and gift cards via North Counties Family Services and Arlington Family Resource Project; funeral costs, small business support, critical incident stress management, well water checking, healthcare costs, children’s social programs and funds allocated for families’ long term needs.
