Molina Helps San Antonio Residents Nurture Their Hearts And Bodies

To encourage healthy eating habits and lifestyle choices among local residents, Molina Healthcare of Texas and San Antonio Food Bank recently teamed up to host a free community event in celebration of American Heart Month. Molina staff provided 35 guests with heart health education and materials as well as aprons for a healthy cooking class that was taught by a chef from the San Antonio Food Bank. Texas State Rep. Diego Bernal from District 123 sent a representative to join the activities.
Equipped with Molina reusable bags, participant had the opportunity to walk through the food bank’s Mobile Mercado unit, a unique type of food truck, to choose freshly-picked fruits and vegetables. Dr. Cleo, Molina’s popular cat doctor mascot, was also present to greet and take photos with attendees.
