Molina Highlights Importance of Personal Care in Salt Lake City

To celebrate the Love UT Give UT day of giving back to nonprofits, Molina Healthcare of Utah recently joined forces with a local charity, Crossroads Urban Center, to host a free community event that provided local residents with 200 personal care kits.
Each kit, packaged in a reusable bag, included essential necessities that allow individuals to practice healthy personal care habits including deodorant, soap, shampoo, tissues, toothbrush, antiseptic wipes and more. Research shows that practicing personal care and hygiene directly correlates to better health. Often times, low income, homeless and those at risk of homelessness lack the means needed to practice good hygiene.
Additionally, Molina matched contributions to Crossroads Urban Center of up to $500 and donated feminine hygiene products. Attendees were also able to enjoy complimentary sandwiches from Even Stevens, a restaurant that donates a portion of its sales to local nonprofits.
