Molina Healthcare’s Associate Vice President of Community Engagement, Ruthy Argumedo, was recognized as a 2018 Latina of Influence for her outstanding commitment to helping those in need in California. Ruthy was honored at Hispanic Lifestyle’s Latinas of Influence Conference in April, along with 30 other empowering Latinas. She has been a part of Molina’s team for over 10 years and has forged a number of important partnerships between Molina, community organizations, and public agencies. For example, she created the company’s “Care 4 a Healthy IE” event, which is now one of the largest comprehensive health care events in the Inland Empire, serving over 20,000 individuals over the last six years.

When asked about her thoughts on the award, Ruthy expressed her gratitude and passion for what she does for others. “My life has been marked by joy in serving others and by experiencing success through a united effort. From a very early age, it was instilled in me to help those who are less fortunate,” said Ruthy. “Very early on in my career, I realized that my passion and talent was to work with people in desperate need of basic services on multiple levels and assist those who experienced barriers in obtaining health or community services. It humbles me to think that what gives such fulfillment also makes me worthy of winning the Latinas of Influence Award. I am even more honored to receive it alongside the other amazing Latinas who do such great work in the local communities!”
