Molina Creates Second “Molina Closet” to Support Seniors in Need

09/20/2018

To ensure that seniors in the Imperial Valley area have access to an important health necessity, Molina Healthcare unveiled the “Molina Closet,” a resource closet providing free adult briefs to those in need. The closet is located at the Area Agency on Aging, a group providing legal assistance, health care information, meal programs and other important resources to seniors. The “Molina Closet” was stocked with 3,000 adult briefs that will be available to the organization’s clients at no cost. All the items were donated by Molina employees, community partners and members of the community through the Company’s annual diaper drive, which was held at its offices in Southern California.

The event celebrating the launch of the closet will include a special ribbon cutting ceremony, remarks from Deborah Miller the president of Molina Healthcare of California and Raymond Castillo the Board of Supervisor Chair for the Area Agency on Aging and information from the Area Agency on Aging. Seniors who attend will also have the opportunity to get a free reusable Molina tote bag and access to adult briefs.
