Molina Healthcare of California Honors Local Heroes at 12th Annual Inland Empire Community Champions Awards

Molina Healthcare of California recently honored the good deeds of five Inland Empire residents at its 12th annual Community Champions awards ceremony. The ceremony was held at the DoubleTree by Hilton in San Bernardino and included dinner, an award presentation, and entertainment.

The Community Champions program celebrates the idea of communities working together to provide support and services to those who need it most. The program spotlights individuals who go above and beyond helping others in their local community. Along with a trophy, each winner received a $1,000 grant to give to a deserving nonprofit organization of their choice.

The 2018 Community Champions honored include:

  • James McPherson, peer support specialist and wellness recovery action plan facilitator, Path of Life Ministries (Riverside)
  • Vanessa Perez, volunteer, Time for Change Foundation (San Bernardino)
  • Isabella Orozco, volunteer, Reach Out (Chino Hills)
  • Feliciano Godoy, lead rehabilitation technology instructor, Blind Support Services (Perris)
  • Connie Edwards, wellness liaison, Moreno Valley Wellness Center (Rancho Cucamonga)
