Molina Healthcare of Wisconsin recently donated a refrigerator to Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Milwaukee. The refrigerator will help the church receive and store fresh produce and vegetables that will be distributed through the Outreach pantry. The pantry will now be able to serve an additional 10 families per week.

Food insecurity impacts the lives of millions of Americans every year. The United States Department of Agriculture reports that approximately 12.3 percent of American households are food insecure. The Milwaukee community faces a significantly higher percentage of food insecure households at 17.7 percent.

“Supporting a local food pantry to help offer nutritious meals to the community is aligned with Molina’s mission of providing quality care to those in need,” shared Babette Honore, director of community engagement for Molina Healthcare of Wisconsin. “We value the opportunity to partner with Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church and help families meet their basic needs.”
