Molina Employees Lend a Helping Hand to Local Communities

Molina Healthcare of Florida employees recently participated in two volunteer projects to help beautify two organizations that serve the community. Twenty volunteers teamed up to revitalize the soup kitchen at St. George’s Episcopal Church in Riviera Beach by pressure washing the building’s exterior, planting healthy herbs and vegetables, cleaning the kitchen and painting the dinner hall and pantry.

In Miami, more than 40 Molina employees worked together to beautify the Lakeview Campus and Main Office of Branches, a nonprofit urban and social justice agency. Volunteers repainted the main hallways and walls in high-traffic areas and washed all the tables and chairs. Outside, they weeded planter beds in the main courtyard, pressure cleaned the sidewalks, planted and mulched.

Employees participated in the projects as part of Molina’s Volunteer Time Off program, which encourages employees to give back to the community by providing paid time off to do volunteer work with local organizations such as homeless shelters, food pantries and afterschool programs.
