Molina Healthcare of Washington was recently honored by Tacoma Public Schools (TPS) with its Gold Star Community Partner Award. This distinction signifies honor and appreciation for making a difference by doing what is best for kids. Molina has demonstrated a commitment to directly serving the needs of the communities within the school district. Molina has participated in and provided resources during TPS career events and resource fairs. This past holiday season Molina adopted several TPS families and donated toys, gifts cards and household items.

"Molina is a partner that understands the essential need to engage students, connect them with resources and partner with other members of the community with a clear shared focus of helping our youth," shared Kathryn McCarthy, strategic communications and marketing manager of TPS.

"Our commitment to the community goes beyond providing affordable health care. We are dedicated to strengthening and empowering our communities, especially among populations that are most in need," said Carrie Ching, senior specialist of community engagement for Molina Healthcare of Washington. "We are grateful for our partnership with TPS and honored to receive this recognition."

Molina will continue to invest in TPS and plans to have a family health and fitness night in May. During the event, families will engage in physical activities including Zumba, jumping rope, and cycling on an exercise bike connected to a juicer making smoothies.
