MURRAY, Utah, November 14, 2023 - The Molina Healthcare Charitable Foundation, in collaboration with Molina Healthcare of Utah, recently presented $15,000 to Alliance Community Services to help expand the organization’s Breast and Cervical Cancer Navigation Program and cancer support group to rural areas of Utah. 

“The Molina Healthcare Charitable Foundation shares the commitment of Alliance Community Services to improve the health and well-being of women and families in our community by ensuring access to critical resources” said Brandon Hendrickson, plan president of Molina Healthcare of Utah.  “We are honored to support the vital work they are doing to support those impacted by cancer.”

Funds will support the work of the navigation program, including bringing clinical breast and cervical exams to rural communities, and promoting early detection through education, routine exams, annual mammograms, and monthly self-breast exams. The grant will also assist the cancer support group, Triunfadoras, which offers education, emotional support and opportunities to connect with others battling cancer within the Hispanic community.
