Molina Healthcare of South Carolina Teaches Columbia Children Healthy Eating Habits

08/01/2016

Molina Healthcare of South Carolina and Grace Christian Church recently teamed up to host Dr. Cleo’s Cooking Club, a healthy cooking class, for 40 children in Columbia. In addition to learning about healthy eating habits and making a nutritious meal, the children were also educated about nutrition, kitchen and food safety.

From properly reading a recipe to washing the ingredients before actually preparing the meal, the kids had a great time making fruit kabobs to stay refreshed during the summer. All of the participants received a Molina T-shirt, measuring cups and a healthy recipe card to encourage them to take what they learned in the cooking class to their homes. Dr. Cleo’s, Molina’s popular cat doctor mascot, was also there to celebrate the fun of healthy eating with the children!
