09/15/2016

Molina Healthcare of California recently provided hundreds of Inland Empire residents with free medical, vision, dental, chiropractic and mental health services at its annual “Care 4 A Healthy I.E.” event. From 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the National Orange Show Events Center, Molina and event partner Tzu Chi Medical Foundation served 186 patients and rendered 444 total services. More than 40 individuals received brand new eyeglasses and attendees also had access to mental health specialists. Members of the community, many of whom are uninsured or underinsured, started lining up as early as 4:00 a.m., though the event did not start until hours later.

In addition to health services, Molina staff also distributed 10,000 pounds of fresh fruit, such as melons and apples, to promote healthy snacking. They also gave away more than 1,500 children’s books, donated by The Molina Foundation.
