Molina Healthcare employees, along with other community volunteers, recently teamed up to bring the “power of flowers,” supported by the Molina Quality Living program, to five Texas nursing homes: Heritage at Turner Park Health & Rehab, Turner Park Health & Rehab, Oasis Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Senior Care of Wurzbach and Laredo Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. With their gardening tools and positive energy, they were able to make a difference in the lives of more than 500 nursing facility residents, of whom over 160 are Molina members.

To transform the nursing and rehabilitation centers’ bland outdoor areas into lively spaces for the residents, the 56 volunteers created birdbaths, landscaped the courtyards, added garden furniture and used more than 2,100 pounds of soil to add 226 new flowers and plants!
