Molina Medical Encourages Summer Safety with Free Helmets and Fun Activities

06/15/2017

In an effort to help those in need and encourage safe summer habits, Molina Medical recently hosted a free event for families at the Molina Medical Clinic in Everett. More than 120 local residents attended and enjoyed the activities and giveaways provided, including 75 free bike helmets, complimentary child identification kits and fun activities such as hula hoops and Molina’s popular smoothie bike.

Each guest received free tickets to participate in a raffle for two bikes, a scooter and more. Additionally, Molina staff provided safety education including drowning prevention and bike helmet checks. Dr. Cleo, Molina’s cat doctor mascot, also joined in on the fun and took photos with attendees.

Molina employees participated in the event as part of the company’s Helping Hands employee volunteer program. The purpose of the program is to encourage Molina employees to get involved in their community by providing paid time off to do direct volunteer work with local organizations such as homeless shelters and after-school programs.
