XVII Binational Health Week” Culminates with Molina Healthcare’s 5th Annual Care 4 a Healthy IE Event

In a continued effort to improve the health and wellbeing of everyone in our communities, Molina Healthcare of California recently partnered with various organizations to host its 5th annual Care 4 a Healthy IE event. Hundreds of uninsured and underinsured residents of the state’s largest and unhealthiest county in the USA, San Bernardino, attended the event and received free health services. Staffed by hundreds of health care professionals, the event offered free vision and dental services, flu vaccinations, acupuncture services, and mammograms.
Additionally, guests received a reusable grocery bag filled with fresh produce. They also had the opportunity to visit health education booths with workshops on mental health, diabetes, asthma, and cancer. Consular services were available to attendees by appointment.
