Molina Provides 800 Students with New Coats

11/21/2017

As part of the second annual Molina HOPE Coat Drive, Molina Healthcare of Michigan employees recently distributed 400 new coats to students at Coleman A. Young Elementary in Detroit and an additional 400 coats to students at Hope Academy of West Michigan in Grand Rapids. Molina volunteers delivered the coats and helped each student select one that fits properly.

Molina staff participated in the event as a part of the company’s Helping Hands employee volunteer program. The purpose of Helping Hands is to encourage employees to get directly involved in their communities by providing paid time off to volunteer with local organizations such as food pantries, after-school programs and homeless shelters.
