Molina Healthcare of Ohio Provides Free Baby Shower for Mothers with Young Children

On September 6, Molina Healthcare of Ohio offered a free community baby shower to expectant mothers, as well as mothers with young children at the Su Casa Hispanic Center in Cincinnati. One hundred and fifty moms, grandmothers and children attended the event. Moms learned about breastfeeding, the importance of health coverage, community resources and upcoming Latino events.
“Molina is committed to helping new moms improve maternal health and to increase awareness about the importance of prenatal and postnatal care,” shared TaKeysha Cheney, director of community engagement for Molina Healthcare of Ohio. “We appreciate the opportunity to partner with Su Casa Hispanic Center and host this baby shower for new and expecting parents who may otherwise not have one.”
Molina provided free diapers, gift cards and a complimentary lunch. Attendees also had an opportunity to play games and make connections with other families in their community.
