Molina Healthcare of California Appoints Dr. James Kyle Chief Health Equity Officer

LONG BEACH, Calif., Feb. 29, 2024 – Molina Healthcare of California (“Molina”) has announced Dr. James Kyle, a physician executive with decades of experience in the health care and equity space, will lead its health equity and quality work as its Chief Health Equity Officer.

“Molina is pleased to welcome Dr. Kyle to serve our expanding California health plan,” said Abbie Totten, plan president of Molina Healthcare of California. “With his deep knowledge in medicine and experience in the managed care space, he brings the skills necessary to make the greatest positive impact for Molina members and the communities we serve.” 
 
Prior to joining Molina, Dr. Kyle served as medical director for L.A. Care Health Plan where he demonstrated the unique ability to mesh his expertise in clinical, community, and population health. Previously, he held roles as chief medical officer and medical affairs chief for other health plans in Los Angeles County. 

Dr. Kyle attended UCLA School of Medicine where he earned his M.D. degree. He also served in the United States Army and was twice awarded the Army Commendation Medal.
