There are numerous diseases and cancers that men are at risk for including CVD, colorectal cancer, prostate cancer, lung cancer, skin cancer, and high cholesterol.
To better protect their health, men should visit a doctor regularly and take necessary precautions to prevent major health problems. Early detection of diseases and conditions may prevent them from becoming larger issues. Treating a disease in its early stages is the easiest. It is important to not wait until symptoms show up – on your next doctor’s visit ask what screenings you need and how often you should be seen for a checkup. Do not just observe Men’s Health Month in June, instead do it throughout the year by keeping a close eye on your health.
