SACRAMENTO, Calif., May 21, 2021The MolinaCares Accord (“MolinaCares”), in collaboration with Molina Healthcare of California (“Molina”), donated hundreds of units of PPE to Sacramento Self Help Housing (SSHH). “COVID-19 has changed the way we live, operate, and provide services to the unhoused community” said Ken Bennett, director of community outreach at Sacramento Self Help Housing. “Partnerships like these with MolinaCares help us adapt to the changes so we can continue to provide services that are critical to our community.

MolinaCares donated 100 N95 masks, 500 surgical masks, 500 gloves, and 200 hand sanitizers as part of this partnership. The PPE will be used by SSHH staff and distributed to residents at their housing facilities across the county.

“Organizations like Sacramento Self Help Housing are doing incredible outreach to deliver services and programs to people in most need,” said Abbie Totten, plan president of Molina Healthcare of California. “We remain committed to the safety and well-being of our partners and communities, and look forward to building upon our partnership with SSHH to continue to increase health equity in Sacramento County.”
