Molina Healthcare of Michigan and Partners to Give Thousands of New Coats to Area Residents at the HOPE Winter Coat Giveaway in Detroit

Experts predict extreme cold and heavy snow this winter, so a coat is a necessity

DETROIT – (Oct. 28, 2019) — One of the largest new coat giveaways of the season will take place on Saturday, November 2, when Molina Healthcare of Michigan and its event partners host the Molina HOPE Winter Coat Giveaway where over 5000 new coats, hats, gloves and scarves will be provided to preregistered attendees and the public on a first-come, first-served basis.

“Molina Healthcare is excited to host the HOPE Winter Coat Giveaway for the fourth year in a row with our phenomenal event partners in Detroit,” said Christine Surdock, president of Molina Healthcare of Michigan. “November 2 will be the culmination of hundreds of people, both employees and volunteers, who have collectively put thousands of hours behind the scenes to make the Molina HOPE Winter Coat Giveaway possible, and I couldn’t be prouder of all their efforts and heart.”

In addition to brand new coats and winter necessities for the entire family, event attendees can also enjoy refreshments, free haircuts, face painting, arts, crafts and more.

Partner organizations include Magna International, FBI, Detroit Public School Community District, Salvation Army of Metro Detroit, Clothes4Souls, Macy’s, Premier Relocations, Fresh Thyme Markets, and Doors of Success.
