Molina Healthcare of California, CSA and Hensel Phelps Team Up to Distribute Thanksgiving Meal Kits in Riverside

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif., Nov. 21, 2022 – Molina Healthcare of California (“Molina”), Community Settlement Association (CSA) and Hensel Phelps recently hosted a drive-thru Thanksgiving meal kit giveaway for 300 families in Riverside.
“Making food accessible to families in need is a top priority for Molina,” said Abbie Totten, plan president of Molina Healthcare of California. “We’re proud to partner with valued organizations like CSA and Hensel Phelps to provide Thanksgiving meals to our neighbors in Riverside and the surrounding community.”
With many families on tight budgets, the holidays can be a challenging time. According to a recent poll, one in four Americans say they’re skipping Thanksgiving this year in order to save money.
“CSA is proud to join forces with our partners to provide access to much-needed resources through this drive-thru event,” said Ninfa Delgado, vice president of operations/chief operating officer at Riverside Community Health.
Kits included a frozen turkey or gift card to purchase a turkey, stuffing mix, canned cranberry sauce, canned green beans, canned corn, canned gravy, boxed mashed potatoes, fresh fruit, vegetables, pumpkin pie and more.
“This event is truly special for the employees of Hensel Phelps,” said Michelle Keyser, manager of supplier diversity in the construction group of Hensel Phelps. “We are proud to be able to give back to the communities where we have built lasting relationships. Our hope is that challenged communities will be able to share the joy and memories that the Thanksgiving holiday brings.”
