In an effort to help keep the Detroit community warm this winter, Molina Healthcare recently kicked-off of its first annual Molina HOPE coat drive in Michigan. During the six-week drive, Molina and its partners will collect new and gently-used coats at numerous drop-off sites in Detroit and surrounding areas. Molina’s goal is to collect 4,000 coats prior to the conclusion of the drive on Friday, December 2.

On Saturday, December 10, Molina will host a free public event at Second Ebenezer Church in Detroit where coats will be distributed for free to pre-registered individuals and the general public on a first-come, first-served basis. The event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and will include free refreshments, resources and services provided by various coat drive partners. Free health screenings including eye exams and blood pressure checks will be provided by Molina-owned Midwest Medical Center Dearborn.
