Molina Launches Second Annual Molina HOPE Coat Drive in Michigan

09/25/2017

To help thousands of children and adults across the state stay warm this winter, Molina Healthcare recently kicked off its second annual Molina HOPE coat drive in Michigan. Throughout the course of the nine-week campaign, which concludes on Monday, November 27, Molina and its partners will collect new coats at numerous drop-off sites across the state. After last year’s inaugural campaign generated the collection of more than 5,000 coats, Molina has the goal of collecting 7,000 child and adult-sized coats prior to the conclusion of the drive.

Partner organizations, many of which are drop-off locations, include Magna International, Inc., Second Ebenezer Church, Macy’s, Clothes4Souls, the FBI, Mr. Alan’s and Bluewater Technologies. On Saturday, December 2, Molina will host a free Winter Coat Giveaway at Second Ebenezer Church in Detroit where coats will be distributed for free to pre-registered individuals and the general public on a first-come, first-served basis. The event will include free refreshments, resources and services provided by various coat drive partners.

Individuals interested in donating a new adult, child or toddler-sized coat can do so by stopping by any one of Molina’s drop-off sites or purchasing coats on Amazon.com.
