CHICAGO— Molina Healthcare of Illinois (Molina) employee volunteers and residents of The Boulevard, a Garfield Park shelter that helps care for the homeless, enjoyed a fun-filled day of activities at a picnic marking National Recovery Month. Molina and The Boulevard hosted the picnic on Saturday, September 9, 2017.

Nearly 80 people attended the event which included music, dancing, games, food and inspirational activities such as journaling and knot quilt making.

“Participating in this Helping Hands event with our Molina staff volunteers and the residents and staff of The Boulevard made me really proud of the work we do at Molina,” said Erin Weir Lakhmani, Molina’s director of community engagement. “It was fantastic to see Molina volunteers interacting with important members of one of the communities we serve, and to see everyone having such a great time while sharing important information about substance use recovery.”
