Molina Healthcare of Michigan, in partnership with Perfecting Community Development Corporation, recently celebrated National Make a Difference Day with a free community event for more than 300 Detroit residents at Perfecting Church Care Center.

The event provided the community with a variety of free services and free packaged foods along with a prepared meal to take home. Over 50 people were given free massages provided by Natural Touch, while more than 100 people enjoyed healthy chicken stir fry prepared by Chef Celeste Ivy. Dr. Cleo, Molina’s cat doctor mascot, made a special appearance and provided participants with smoothies using Molina’s smoothie bike. In addition, participants were given free health information on health care coverage, including Medicaid and Marketplace information.

“Celebrating National Make a Difference Day is another opportunity for us to reach out to the community and make a positive impact,” said Stephen Harris, president of Molina Healthcare of Michigan. “We look forward to our continued partnerships with local organizations, like Perfecting Community Development Corporation, which allows us to identify community members in need and provide solutions to their needs.”
