Molina Healthcare Gives New Coats and Shoes to Homeless Children

Molina Healthcare and Molina Medical Group recently donated new winter coats and shoes to 60 children in Riverside. Molina employees along with Dr. Cleo, Molina Healthcare’s cat doctor mascot, presented the holiday wrapped gifts to these children at the Foundation for Kids. The Unified Riverside School District identified youth with the greatest need.
“To help spread holiday cheer this season, we visited youngsters in the community with Dr. Cleo, our kid-friendly mascot, to deliver new coats and shoes,” said Ruthy Argumedo, AVP of community outreach for Molina Medical Group. “They were so grateful; we had kids cry and jump up and down. For some children, this was going to be their only Christmas present. Each shoe box was designed and labeled with their names to add a personal touch. These children were in need of the minimal winter essentials and we hope that this donation will help keep them warm and made their holiday special.”
