Medicaid provides health coverage for some low-income people, families and children, pregnant women, seniors, and people with disabilities. You must also be a resident of Ohio and a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident or have legal status.

How do you sign up for Medicaid? How do you sign up for Medicaid?

There are four ways to enroll in the Medicaid program:

 

  • Call Molina Healthcare at 866-481-5994, TTY 711. We’ll help you enroll.
  • Go to https://benefits.ohio.gov/
  • Call the Ohio Medicaid Consumer Hotline at (800) 324-8680, TTY 711. Call Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET. 
  • Apply in person at your local County Department of Job and Family Services (CDJFS).

Make sure you renew your Medicaid coverage. You need to do this every year with your local County Department of Job and Family Services (CDJFS). You can renew your benefits online, over the phone, by mail, or in person. Visit our Medicaid Renewals page to learn more about how to renew.
