Molina Healthcare is pleased to offer Teladoc to our members. Just use your phone, video or mobile app for:

  • Convenient online or phone visits, without leaving home.
  • No appointment is needed. Get the right care, right n​ow.
  • For the same cost as a regular doctor visit, be treated where you are.
  • If needed, Teladoc doctors can send a prescription to your local pharmacy.

What is Teladoc?
Teladoc, also known as Virtual Care, provides medical care for eligible Molina Marketplace members online or over the phone. It’s a convenient way to receive medical care without leaving your home or wherever you are.

Who is eligible for Teladoc?
All Molina Marketplace members are eligible for virtual visits through Teladoc.

Who are Teladoc doctors?
Teladoc doctors are U.S. board-certified in Internal Medicine or Family Practice. They average 20 years of experience and are licensed in your state. Their day-to-day practice involves providing quality medical care online and over the phone.

Do Teladoc doctors replace my doctor?
No. Teladoc is for when you need care now for non-emergency medical issues. It’s a convenient alternative to urgent care and ER visits.

What ways are there to get Teladoc visits?
You can visit with a Teladoc doctor through your phone, internet video through the secure member portal, or video through the Teladoc mobile app.

How quickly can I talk to the doctor?
The average call-back time is just 10 minutes. If you miss the doctor's call, you will be returned to the bottom of the waiting list. Your request will be cancelled if you miss three calls.

Is there a time limit when talking with a doctor?
No. There is no time limit for Teladoc visits.

Can Teladoc doctors write a prescription?
Yes, Teladoc doctors can prescribe short-term medication for a wide range of conditions. Our doctors don’t prescribe substances controlled by the DEA, or nontherapeutic and/or certain other drugs which are considered harmful because of potential abuse.

How do I pay for a prescription called in by Teladoc?
When you go to your pharmacy to pick up the prescription, you must show your insurance card and you will be responsible for any applicable copay or coinsurance.

How much does a visit cost?
As a Molina member, your online visits cost the same as a visit to your PCP, but much less than the cost of an emergency room visit. However, cell phone and internet usage rates from your service provider apply.

Can I provide Teladoc visit information to my regular doctor?
Yes. You have 24/7 access to your electronic medical record. You can download a copy online from your account or call Teladoc and ask us to mail or fax your medical record.
