Please note the following special instructions for those affected by hurricane forecasts and potential evacuations.

If MOLINA HEALTHCARE OF TEXAS members need assistance:

Please call our toll free number at (866) 449-6849 for Medicaid and CHIP/ (877) 319-6829 – CHIP Rural Service Area; (866) 856-8699 for Molina Dual Options STAR+PLUS MMP; (866) 440-0012 for Medicare and (855) 560-2025 for Marketplace for prior authorization or for any service related issues during the storm and/or in the event continued care is necessary while the member is displaced after the storm. For Behavioral Health related issues, please call Behavioral Health Services: (800) 435-5348

Some examples include:

• Urgent/Emergent Care and/or Transportation

• Non-participating MOLINA HEALTHCARE OF TEXAS providers

• Transfers to hospitals outside of the home area

• Home Health Services (i.e. High Risk pregnant members)

IF IT IS AN EMERGENCY THE MEMBER SHOULD GO TO THE NEAREST EMERGENCY ROOM OR CALL 911.

If MOLINA HEALTHCARE OF TEXAS (MHT) members need prescriptions filled:

• If MOLINA HEALTHCARE OF TEXAS members require assistance with pharmacy prescriptions, they may contact our Member Services Department at (866) 449-6849 for Medicaid and CHIP/ (877) 319-6829 – CHIP Rural Service Area; (866) 856-8699 for Molina Dual Options STAR+PLUS MMP; (866) 440-0012 for Medicare and (855) 560-2025 for Marketplace or the Nurse Advice Line at 1-888-275-8750 (English); 1-866-648-3537 (Spanish).

• If MOLINA HEALTHCARE OF TEXAS members are unable to obtain prescriptions(s) at their regular pharmacy location, they can obtain prescriptions at other pharmacy locations.

· For example, if a member is displaced from their home due to the storm and needs to fill a prescription, the member may access other contracted pharmacies or go to the same chain pharmacy (same pharmacy name) in another location.

o If the member goes to a new pharmacy that is a part of the same chain of pharmacies, the new pharmacy will be able to access the member records. If the member forgot their prescriptions, they can ask for an early refill.

o If the member goes to a different pharmacy chain, the member can bring their prescription container(s) to the new pharmacy or have their doctor contact the new pharmacy. If the member’s regular pharmacy is open, the member can have the new pharmacy contact the member’s regular pharmacy to transfer the prescription(s).

o For certain medications, such as some controlled substance prescriptions, a new prescription from a doctor will be necessary.

If MOLINA HEALTHCARE OF TEXAS members are displaced and need medical care:

Members should call Member Services at (866) 449-6849 for Medicaid and CHIP/ (877) 319-6829 – CHIP Rural Service Area; (866) 856-8699 for Molina Dual Options STAR+PLUS MMP; (866) 440-0012 for Medicare and (855) 560-2025 for Marketplace for assistance with any MOLINA HEALTHCARE OF TEXAS service related issues. Member Services will assist members with finding a provider outside of their service area in the event they need assistance in accessing care during the storm and/or in the event they are displaced. The member can always go the nearest Emergency Room if necessary. ​​​​​​
