Molina MyCare Ohio Medicaid covers these dental services:

  • All ages receive a routine cleaning and exam every 6 months.
  • Removal of impacted wisdom teeth and emergency tooth re-implantation for adults.
  • Dentures, partial plates and braces require prior authorization and are subject to medical review and limitations. 
  • Adults with history of periodontal disease are allowed an extra periodontal maintenance cleaning and exam every 12 months within a 24-month period.

 

Did you know? Most general dentists can perform medically necessary specialty procedures such as deep cleanings, root canals, and extractions. Check with your usual dentist first if you need one of these procedures.
