COVID-19 Vaccine Information
All Washington residents age 5 and up are now eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine.
Medicare members: remember to bring your red, white, and blue Medicare card to get your COVID-19 vaccine—even if you’re enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan. Your provider will need your Medicare Number to bill Medicare.
Are you between the ages of 23 to 26? Did you spend time in the foster care after your 15th birthday? If yes, you may be eligible for relief funding to cover expenses related to education, housing, transportation and much more. Apply by September 24, 2021.

Homebound and need a COVID-19 vaccine?
Fill out a secure online form to let us know if you or someone you know is homebound. Your answers will allow us to connect individuals to available County and/or State Mobile Vaccine Teams.

Telehealth
Molina covers telehealth visits (video calls and phone calls) with your providers. Contact your provider to understand how best to communicate with them and get the care you need.
Virtual Urgent Care
When it’s difficult to get an appointment with your provider, you can use Molina’s Virtual Urgent Care, which is available for all Molina members 24/7 from your phone or computer. See below for more information:
Prescriptions
- Molina is currently allowing early refills up to a 90-day supply. Molina is also allowing 90-day prescriptions for refills and new prescriptions (Note: certain controlled medications require prior authorization prior to refill).
- All members have access to CVS’ mail-order pharmacy, which offers free delivery at Caremark.com or (800) 875-0867. Click here for step-by-step instructions.
Smart Phone Assistance Program
There is a federal program that provides Apple Health (Medicaid) members with a smartphone. It currently includes unlimited texting and minutes and 3GB of data all at no cost to you. Click here for more information, and click here to apply.

Well-Child Care & Immunizations During COVID-19
It is important for your child to get a checkup, even during this unusual time. They need to stay up-to-date on shots and manage any health concerns (including behavior or mood changes). Vaccinating children on time is the best way to protect them from other diseases.
Clinics have made changes to keep you safe, such as offering visits by phone or video, deep-cleaning between patients, and no wait time. Please talk to your doctor about scheduling a well-child checkup and how you can get your kids vaccinated. Dental Care During COVID-19
Your oral health is important. Many dental providers are starting to see patients again and will schedule patients with urgent needs first.
What is urgent dental care?
- Toothache pain that interferes with normal activities
- Swollen gums, face, or neck
- Bleeding in your mouth that doesn’t stop
- Infection or a risk of it (like a sore or pus on your gums)
- Recent trauma to the mouth that involves the loss of your tooth

General COVID-19 Questions
What are the symptoms of COVID-19?
Common signs of infection include fever, cough, and lung symptoms, such as shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases, this virus can cause infection in the lungs (pneumonia), severe lung problems (acute respiratory distress syndrome), kidney failure, and even death.
People with heart and lung disease or weakened immune systems, as well as infants and older adults, are at higher risk for more severe problems from this illness.
How is COVID-19 spread?
It is thought to be spread by little fluid droplets from an infected person’s lungs to others through:
- the air by coughing and sneezing, and
- close personal contact such as touching or shaking hands
How can you help protect yourself or others from COVID-19?The best way to reduce your chances of catching COVID-19 is getting the vaccine. You may also be able to reduce your risk of infection by:
- wearing a mask when in public,
- social distancing yourself from others,
- washing your hands often,
- avoiding touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands, and
- avoiding close contact with people who are sick
If you have cold-like symptoms, contact your employer to see if they want you to remain at home while you are sick. If you share a workstation or equipment with others, consider wiping it down with disinfectant wipes after use.
What should you do if you suspect you or someone else has COVID-19?Most people with this illness will recover on their own. Although there are no treatments for illnesses caused by this type of virus (human coronavirus), you can take the following actions to help relieve symptoms if you are mildly sick:
- Take pain and fever medications. Ask your pharmacist how they may interact with any medications you currently take (NOTE: The CDC and American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommend not giving aspirin to children).
- Drink plenty of liquids.
- Stay home and rest.
- Use the Molina Nurse Advise Line to discuss your symptoms and treatment options.
- Consider a telemedicine visit if you are not very ill.
- If you are concerned about your symptoms, please contact your local health care provider.
Who should be tested for COVID-19?The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends that the following people should be tested:
- anyone with symptoms of COVID-19,
- anyone who is returning from a high-risk place (a CDC-designated “Level 2” or “Level 3” advisory area), or
- anyone who has been in contact with someone who has or may have the virus within the last 14 days.
Your provider can help decide if you should be tested.
How can I get COVID-19 testing?Patients who have concerns that they may have had contact with COVID-19 or may have symptoms of COVID-19 should contact their primary care provider to discuss whether to get tested. If you meet the rules for testing (per the CDC), then your doctor can order the test. The test will likely be nasal swabs that are then sent to a laboratory.
