Plans for American Indians and Alaskan Natives

There are two types of plans: Zero Cost or Limited Cost Sharing.

Zero Cost Sharing Plans

American Indians and Alaskan Natives (AIAN) with household incomes between 100% Federal Poverty Level to 300% Federal Poverty Level (FPL) are eligible for cost share reductions under the Health Insurance Marketplace.

For qualifying AIAN individuals with household incomes between 100% and 300% of the Federal Poverty Level:

  • The premium you pay depends on the plan you've chosen for you and your dependents
  • You pay $0 for covered services received by participating Providers

Limited Cost Sharing Plans

For qualifying AIAN individuals with household incomes over 300% of the Federal Poverty Level:

  • The premium you pay depends on the plan you've chosen for you and your dependents
  • You pay $0 for services covered by your plan and received by participating Tribal Health Providers. Tribal Health Providers include contracted Indian Health Services, Tribal Organizations, or Urban Indian Organizations
  • If you receive covered services from participating providers who are not Tribal Health Providers, you will pay the deductibles, co-payments and co-insurance for your selected plan
