Molina Healthcare of Washington recently hosted a yoga class for over 400 community members in Tacoma, Wash. The event, which was designed to make yoga fun and exciting for people who have never tried it before, featured a live DJ spinning popular music as well as an energetic yoga instructor teaching some basic poses. Over 150 youth from the Boys and Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound and D.A.S.H. Center for the Arts were in attendance to show that yoga is fun for all ages.

“Yoga to the Beat was a great opportunity for members of the Tacoma community to try something new that can really improve their health,” said Bela Biro, president of Molina Healthcare of Washington. “Molina Healthcare is grateful for all of our partners who work to improve the health of our community, and we are proud to offer activities like free yoga to show folks that exercise can be fun.”

Attendees received a free yoga mat and Jamba Juice smoothies and were able to enter a raffle that included prizes from local vendors. Molina Healthcare also donated $5000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound to support their health and fitness programs.
