In the spirit of the holiday season, Molina Healthcare delivered toys to foster children in Logan as part of Utah Foster Care’s Secret Santa event on Wednesday, December 18.

“What better way to celebrate the season of giving than by making a difference in the life of a child,” said Adam Grimaldo, community outreach manager for Molina Healthcare of Utah. “It really shows how one small gift can put a smile on a child’s face and make their holiday season merrier.”

Utah Foster Care received donations came from local churches, community organizations and businesses, to serve 72 foster kids across the northern region. Other sponsors of the event included airmen from the 388 EMS at Hill Air Force Base.

According to Utah Foster Care, in Utah there are about 2,700 children in foster care at any given time, but there are fewer than 1,400 licensed foster/adoptive families. Molina Healthcare hopes to make this holiday season a little more special by providing these kids with toys they wouldn’t have received otherwise.
