Molina Dental Services (MDS) is dedicated to the administration of the statewide Mississippi Medicaid Dental program.  In partnership with Molina Healthcare of Mississippi, Inc. and SKYGEN USA, LLC our mission is to deliver effective, reliable, and affordable dental care to those who need it most.  We strive to meet the physical, social, and emotional needs of each member and to strengthen the communities we serve.  To learn more about our dental program, we invite you to participate in one of our upcoming provider orientation and education sessions.

SKYGEN Provider Services Call Center
The SKYGEN Provider Services department handles telephone and written inquiries from Providers regarding claims, authorizations, address, and Tax-ID changes, contracting, and training on how to use the SKYGEN platform. SKYGEN has Provider Services representatives who are trained to assist Mississippi Dental Providers. The SKYGEN Provider Services Team is available at (844) 809-8438 from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday. TTY:711.
 

SKYGEN Provider Web Portal (PWP)  

The SKYGEN PWP is the exclusive dental provider platform for the Molina Healthcare of Mississippi Dental Network. The SKYGEN PWP combines powerful new enhancements with current features and functionality to provide the best experience for you and your practice at no cost to you.

Use a single sign-on to manage your practice.
Immediate access to member and benefit information, claim and authorization history, and payment records at any time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Submit claims and authorizations.
Attach and securely send supporting documents, such as digital X-rays, EOBs, and treatment plans.
Check the real-time status of in-process claims and authorizations and review historical payment records and much more.
Access to dental provider resources, such as the dental provider manual and training sessions.

Providers must credential/re-credential through the Mississippi Division of Medicaid at: medicaid.ms.gov/mesa-portal-for-providers/

You must be enrolled as a Medicaid provider and have an active Medicaid ID.

Molina Dental Services partners with SKYGEN, USA to administer MississippiCAN and CHIP Dental benefits for Molina Healthcare of Mississippi.

 

Dental Claims

Please note that when submitting a dental claim to SKYGEN, via the provider portal, clearing house or ADA claim form, the member ID must include the preceding five zeros (00000) as part of the Member ID to receive payment.

Claim filing information

Dental Prior Authorizations 

Prior Authorization of Dental Treatment in an Outpatient Hospital or Ambulatory Surgical Center setting must be submitted as follows:

  • Providers should submit request using ADA code D9999 with the required Molina Mississippi Hospital Worksheet and all services that are requested to be performed on the ADA Claim form.
  • If approved, SKYGEN is to submit the Molina Mississippi Hospital Worksheet to Molina including the SKYGEN dental approval to review and determine the approval of the Outpatient Hospital or Ambulatory Surgical Center facility.
    • Provider will notify facility of approval. Facility will request prior authorization from Molina.
    • A copy of the determination will be sent via mail to the provider and member.
  • If denied, the provider and member have options listed for the appeals process on the notification received.
