Molina Healthcare of California (“Molina”) has funded nearly $320,000 worth of personal protective equipment (“PPE”) for health care professionals and local community-based organizations. Molina has identified provider partners and nonprofits most in need and has supplied more than 35,000 three-ply masks, N95 masks, and antibody test kits. The contribution is supporting small clinics, skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), federally qualified health centers (FQHCs), county health departments, and larger health systems throughout California.
“Molina is proud to supply our health care provider and community partners on the front lines with the equipment and resources they need to safely serve others during this ongoing public health crisis,” said John Kotal, plan president of Molina Healthcare of California. “We are extremely grateful for their dedication to keeping our communities safe and healthy.”
"Molina Healthcare has been an amazing community partner for many years, but never more important than during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Bill Cruikshank, executive director at Meals on Wheels of Long Beach. “When vital PPE, hand sanitizer, and surgical masks were nowhere to be found, Molina came to our rescue by supporting our PPE needs. On behalf of all of the homebound elderly we serve, we are so thankful."
