Molina Healthcare of Illinois Presents $75K Grant to The Trevor Project to Improve Health Outcomes for LGBTQ+ Youth in Illinois

CHICAGO, July 15, 2024 – Molina Healthcare of Illinois (“Molina”), in collaboration with The MolinaCares Accord, awarded a $75,000 grant to The Trevor Project, the leading suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ+ young people. The grant will help improve access to life-saving mental health tools via TrevorSpace, an online social networking platform that provides LGBTQ+ youth with peer support and life-affirming resources as they transition into adulthood. This grant is part of the MolinaCares Illinois Health Equity Initiative – an investment of nearly $5 million to improve equity and health outcomes in under-resourced communities.
