When can you enroll?
You can enroll, renew or change your plan during the Open Enrollment Period, which spans November 1 through January 31 each year.
You may be able to enroll at other times if you have a qualifying life event. This is called a Special Enrollment Period.
Qualifying life events include:
Getting married or entering a domestic partnership
Having, adopting, or fostering a child
Moving to a new area
Losing health coverage
Exhausting COBRA coverage
Turning 26
Leaving a college health plan
Returning from active‑duty military service
Release from jail or prison
Becoming a U.S. citizen, national, or lawfully present individual
