Medicaid is health insurance paid for by the government. If you qualify, your coverage is at no cost to you. Your state will decide if you are eligible.

How Medicaid eligibility works

IDHW runs Idaho’s Medicaid program. To qualify, you must live in Idaho, be a U.S. citizen or qualified immigrant, have or apply for a Social Security number, and meet income limits. You must be an adult age 21 or older. You must have Medicaid Parts A, B and D and Enhanced Medicaid coverage.
